Apple launched its flagship device– iPhone XR– at a special event at Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California last month. And nearly a month and a half after its launch, the phone will be going on sale in India on October 26. Interested buyers will be able to purchase the device from authorised Apple resellers and online stores including Amazon India, Paytm Mall, and Airtel Online Store and others starting Friday.
While the base variant of iPhone XR with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal memory is priced at Rs 76,900, the variant with 3GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 81,900. However, interested buyers can purchase the phone with a discount of up to Rs 15,900 by exchanging their old phones with the new iPhone XR on e-retail platforms– Amazon India and Paytm Mall.
Notably, while Amazon India is offering a discount of up to Rs 15,900 on exchange offer, Paytm Mall is offering a minimum discount of Rs 7,000 on the exchange offer. Interested buyers can avail a discount of up to Rs 25,000 on exchanging their old iPhone 8 Plus for a new iPhone XR. According to a report by Gadgets Now, Paytm Mall is also offering a discount of Rs 11,500 on exchanging Samsung Galaxy A8 as a part of the offer. Similarly, Galaxy On7 Prime users will be able to avail a discount of Rs 10,600 on the exchange offer.
Amazon India, on the other hand, is offering a discount of Rs 15,900 on the exchange of iPhone 8 Plus. Buyers who wish to exchange their Google 2 XL smartphone will be able to avail a discount of Rs 10,750 on the offer. Similarly, Samsung Galaxy S7 owners can avail a discount of Rs 6,350 while the Galaxy S7 Edge owners can avail a discount of Rs 9,200 on the exchange offer. Additionally, Amazon is also offering a no-cost EMI option via Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank debit card, and Amazon Pay EMI on the purchase of the device.
Apart from this, customers can also purchase the newly launched iPhone from Airtle Online Store with a down payment of Rs 14,999.
iPhone XR comes with a 6.1-inch LCD Liquid Retina HD display with a resolution of 1,792,828 pixels. It has A12 Bionic chipset at its core and features 3GB RAM. The newly launched iPhone comes with a 12MP wide angle rear camera and a 7MP TrueDepth camera in the front. The iPhone XR runs on iOS 12.
